Salvation and Baptism

SALVATION

If you were to die today, do you know where you would spend eternity?

If you responded, "I hope in heaven" then you're not sure where you would spend eternity.

Today you can make sure by inviting Jesus Christ into your heart & life!

The Bible says in John 14:6 "Jesus sayeth unto him, I am the way, the truth and the light: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourself: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."

God has provided the only way. YOU must make the choice between eternal life in Hell or eternal life in heaven. If you choose life in heaven through Jesus Christ, then pray this prayer. Speak it out loud for your ears to hear what your heart desires!

With sincerity of heart say:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that you are the Son of the living God, and that you died for my sins. I am sorry for my sins and ask you to forgive me. I want you to come into my heart and life now and be my Saviour and my Lord. I want to follow you as a sheep who needs a shepherd. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for forgiving me and saving me, as you promised. Amen

If you prayed this prayer, you have God's Word that assures you that you have been "born again" (John 3:5-8). Romans 10:13 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." And 1John :12 says, "He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

If you prayed the sinner's prayer, you may or may not have experienced some emotion. In either case you KNOW that from this point in time in your life you belong to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, who dwells within you and wants to live His love out through you. 1 John 5:12-13 says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

Now that you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, believe that He is in you. Start reading your Bible every day beginning with the book of John (in the New Testament) to get to know this Jesus who lives within you. Talk to God daily, conversation with Him is prayer. Tell others about Jesus Christ and what He has done for you. Find a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ to learn more about Him, spend time in worship to God and service to others.

God loves you and wants to bless you daily as you love Him!

WELCOME to the Family of God!

BAPTISM

There are two kinds of baptisms: Water Baptism and The Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Water Baptism is by emersion in water and by confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. By His authority, the minister says, “I baptize you in the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. Amen”

The Service of Dedication of a baby or young child to the Lord with the parents having the responsibility to teach the child about the Lord until he receives the Lord as his or her personal Saviour, is symbolized with the Minister holding the child and dipping his hand in water to place on the child’s head. Water Baptism by emersion and the Dedication Ceremony are two different services.

If you have not received the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire since you received Salvation, we invite you to read the following scriptures to understand the purpose of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Acts 1:4,5,8-11

Luke 3:16-17

Mark 16:15-18

Ephesians 6:18

Matthew 3:11-12

John 1:33-34

Romans 8:26-28

Acts 2:38-39

Mark 1:7-8

Acts 2:2

Jude 20-21

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is power for service and power in witnessing, not only in words, but in the Name of Jesus, exercising authority over the devil. That authority enables you to claim healing and deliverance by the power of the Name of Jesus. You also have power to understand the Word and the power to overcome sin and live a victorious life.

You may ask, “Must I speak in tongues?” Yes, this is important. This is a gift from God, so why refuse it? To refuse tongues is to refuse to yield yourself completely to God and His Word. Instead, take a step of faith and pray this prayer expecting to receive.

“Father, in the Name of Jesus, I ask you to fill me to overflowing with your precious Holy Spirit and give me my prayer language so that I can glorify you in tongues as you promised.”

Now put your mind on Jesus and start praising Him outloud. You have to open your mouth to speak, so begin now. Thank Him and tell Him you love Him in English, and you will begin to say sounds you have never said. It will be your heavenly language talking to the Lord. Singing in tongues is beautiful, as you are talking to the Father in Jesus’ Name. Remember, the Holy Spirit is praying for you in tongues—“And There is More”.

Now that you have prayed the prayer to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, we would love to hear from you and send you some literature on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Please fill in your name, address and telephone # in the space below.

Also, share your testimony of the experience when you received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. God bless you.
